Pictures from Sunday and Saturday’s VBS Prep & Bishop’s Meeting

We are still gearing up for VBS. Here are some pictures of more of the behind the scenes prep work going. We are grateful to everyone who is able to come and help get everything ready. We know it takes a lot of work. The Bishop was also in town to meet with the Transition Team, Call Committee and Pastor Barber on Saturday. Greg and Ede Stratton are moving back to the mainland. We will surely miss than and hope that they will visit when they have the time. Landan Jaeger played the violin for us this weekend. It was a medley of three songs and it filled the church with some great music. We also installed the Call Committee. Thank you to Mark Fornwall, Renee Romerdahl, Eric Pilotin, Barbra Rudow, David Stoltzfus & Holly Pendergast. You have a great task ahead of you but we all know you will do great. Last but not least we had The Great Peanut Butter Bake Off. All of the choices were delicious. Thank you to those who participated. We now have all the peanut butter jars we need for VBS.

This Sunday featured a few different things happening. We welcomed Bobbie Jo Curley who is subbing for Beth Wills while she is on vacation, 4-Given had their last song until the fall, the praise band was there for the 5th Sunday of the month, and Steve and Billie Moksnes celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary before returning to Montana for the Summer.

VBS Prep and Pictures from Sunday

VBS is coming faster than anyone can think. So there have been many people gathering on Saturday mornings to prep all they can before it gets here. The following are some pictures of those dedicated people.

Here are some pictures from Sunday’s Service. Hula had their last dance until the fall. We sure do miss all the groups when they take the summer off. We know though that they will be back with bigger and better things this fall.

Events from Sunday 05-15-16

We has a lot going on this past Sunday. It was Pentecost and we also had three confirmations and we celebrated out graduating youth as they start their next chapter in their lives.

This first sections of pictures is the reading of Acts 2:1-21. We had Seven different languages and these are the people who read.

The next part was Confirmation. We had three Confirmations this year and they are Anthony and Micheala Scibelli and Ashlynn Kennedy.

Last but not least we Congratulated our graduating youth and found out where/what they would be doing in the fall.

Here is a look at some pictures from the Service last Sunday. We had a guest preacher in Pastor Milton Fricke, Darleen Owens is still learning the sound desk and it was hopefully a Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers who attended. I pray that they all had a wonderful day.

Pictures from Sunday 04-24-16

Aloha all. We wanted to share with you a few pictures of things that happened last Sunday. One of the major things was a celebration for Harvey and Michelle Strauser, who if some of you don’t recall had a fire in their home and a lot of things were destroyed. The main part was that Harvey was in the fire and almost died. But thanks to all of our prayer and with the help of many doctors he survived. We were happy to have them back and we wanted to help, so we held a “Stock Michelle’s Kitchen” Pampered Chef party. Thank you to all who came to support this family. Thanks to the generosity everything on Michelle’s list was purchased. I think when it all comes in it’s time for a party.

Not only did we have an energizing service this past weekend with the praise music and band but we also celebrated not one, but three birthdays. Nels Glesne celebrated his 100th birthday with Cate Evert our Admin Assistant celebrated her 30th and Victoria Gonzalez celebrated her 8th. Congratulations to all three.
