Health Program
A program to help motivate people to put body, mind and spirit together, as well as to encourage everyone to see that the integration of all three can lead to true health and wholeness. The program includes home and hospital visitation and health education information flyers. Future plans include health screening for blood pressure and blood sugar testing, and health education support groups. A Grief Support Group is in the early planning stage. For more information, contact Sanni Tharp
Hunger Program
Food Bank - As a major supporter of the Keolahou Church Food Pantry, KLC has been blessed with our people’s generosity. Even though the current economic situation has significantly strained their resources, that generosity has been a key factor in their continued ability to help the needy. Team members do the weekly shopping and delivery of the needed food items. The program now has funding for one year at $600/mo.
Fellowship Program
Includes movie nights on the church lawn, an annual whale watch and many other fun activities for our church members and friends.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
KLC ‘s prayer shawl ministry began in February 2007. We have 10-15 ladies who work on the shawls on Thursday morning at KLC and during the week when they have time. The shawls are blessed and then given to someone that needs one.
They are taken to our shut-ins, those in the hospital, and any situation where we can wrap a loved one in a prayer shawl. The shawls are intended to remind those who receive them that they are loved and prayed for by our KLC family. Our Prayer Shawl Ministry continues to flourish. Over the 5 years we have given out 3 and half shawls per week. Mahalo to all who give the gift of time, prayer, and talent in making the shawls, for those who give money to buy yarn, and to all who keep this ministry in your prayers. New prayer shawls were blessed on Feb. 12, 2012. Thanks and praise to our Lord!!
Social Ministry Program
Includes neighborhood, community outreach and global mission projects (ie: Kihei Youth Center, China Service Ventures, etc.)
