Mozart’s Requiem 2010-08-07

The Maui Summer Masterworks Festival Chorale and Festival Orchestra will present this beloved Mass on Saturday, August 7th, at 7 p.m., at Kihei Baptist Church, 1655 South Kihei Road.  The Requiem is one of Mozart's most popular and respected works. It was composed in Vienna in 1791, the last year of the composer's life. He died at 35 years of age, having composed dozens  of pieces, including operas, symphonies, concertos, and chamber music. The Chorale has been rehearsing weekly at KLC, with Bob Wills conducting and Beth Wills as accompanist.  Three members of KLC choir are singing with the Chorale.  All are invited to enjoy this marvelous work.  Tickets may be obtained from Andrea Harris, Maryanne Anderson, Sanni Tharp and Beth Wills.  There will be tickets available at the door, for a $15 donation.
